Daly Basin aquifers — 3D viewer

Cambrian Limestone Aquifer — Daly Basin

3D view of the four aquifer formations (Tindall, Jinduckin, Oolloo, Florina) and the Katherine Water Allocation Plan boundaries — the 2024–2026 plan area and the proposed 2026–2036 plan area (13 May 2026 package).

Use the panel on the right to toggle layers and basemap, and to adjust vertical exaggeration. With a basemap on, Tindall shows as a flat slab; with basemap off, it shows as a contour-interpolated 3D surface coloured by depth.

The aquifer is ~300 km north–south but only ~500 m thick. Vertical exaggeration is required to read the depth surface at all; 1× would render Tindall as a paper-thin sheet.
Aquifers: BoM Geofabric Groundwater Cartography v3.3 (Nov 2022).
Tindall: real top-of-formation surface from 4,553 structure contours (-600 to +150 m).
Other formations: illustrative slabs above Tindall (Geofabric has no contour data for them).
